What do I need for Drop & Go?
Only eligible Containers for Change drink containers receive the 10-cent refund. If you do not have a Member Number, choose cash collection instead.

Drop & Go FAQs
Do I need to wait while my containers are counted?
No. Once our team has helped you unload your containers and collected your details, you can leave. We’ll take care of the counting while you get on with your day.
Is Drop & Go only for large returns?
No. Drop & Go is available to customers who don’t want to wait around for their containers to be counted. It is particularly convenient for larger returns, but there is no minimum quantity.
Can I bring in hundreds or thousands of containers?
Yes. Larger returns are welcome. Bring your eligible containers to the Sandgate depot during trading hours and tell our team you’d like to use Drop & Go.
Do I need a Containers for Change Member Number?
Only if you want the refund processed through your Containers for Change account. If you prefer cash, leave your name and mobile number and we’ll contact you when it is ready to collect.
Can I choose cash?
Yes. Tell our team when you drop off your containers. We’ll message you after the count is complete, then you can return to the depot during trading hours to collect your cash.
How long will my containers take to count?
Counting time depends on the size of your return and how busy the depot is. Our team can provide guidance when you arrive, but completion times and same-day counting are not guaranteed.
Can I use Drop & Go outside trading hours?
No. Drop & Go is a staff-assisted service at the Sandgate depot during normal trading hours. If
you need an after-hours option, see our separate Bag Drop service.
Do I need to book?
No. Visit the Sandgate depot during normal trading hours and speak with our team about using Drop & Go.
How much do I receive?
You receive 10 cents for every eligible drink container counted. There is no Drop & Go service fee or deduction from the standard refund.
